Does the psn append to the date or should i wait until it expires and then apply the code? My current psn expires at 22 september 2016, if i apply now does it expire at 22 september 2017 or expires on 27th august 2017 if i applied today.

Price rise is US only as far as I can tell, there has been no mention of a UK price rise. Europe had a price rise for PS+ which didn't affect the US service so I'd expect this to remain the same.
