My first deal post so go easy people :) Cracking deal for 10 fixed downlights, reduced down from £30! Picked up a set of white a few days ago, I plan to put LED's in and ditch the halogen bulbs. I have looked everywhere and these are the cheapest by far!

Had some stock in my local store, seems to be limited but lots of stores have them :)

They do fit, but avoid the fat type bulbs
and go for the more traditional shaped similar to below

The gu5.3 ones are extra low voltage (12v) so you'd need a different transformer for LED as well as the LED lamp, not fire rated so would not recommend fitting these in any ceiling with a habitable room above

That's a good point Dave. I always prefer to fit the GU10 types then it saves additional power supplies
I do have some similar in my bathroom, I'm not sure on the exact regs so might be worth having a google. I think you can fit these in some zones away from water contact of the bathroom but not above the shower etc. Someone else may be able to offer more concrete advice
was hot until ... reserved and paid for 3 packs from local wickes. just had call to say that none of them are actually in stock and i will have to be refunded. Nice to see that Wickes stock control is just as hopeless as B&Q's.

Think she doesn't really know her job as the txt message I got for my c&c mentions you only need your payment card. A form of ID is only needed if a third party is collecting the goods on your behalf.

Arh yes, spot on, it was actually my debit card - I went out without my wallet to somewhere else and only had my phone. Tried to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, worked in the end. Still.

I've got GU10s in my bathroom. You just need a sealed fitting to stop moisture getting in.

Big thanks to the original poster. I ordered 2 sets and when I picked them up one box was damaged and 1 was missing so they discounted my order by 50%. I had 19 lights for 4.99. Well chuffed.

you could, but you'd also need to replace the transformer, alternatively buy some gu10 lamp holders (the lamps are the same size for the fitting-cheaper option by far-about a pound each per lamp holder)
