Same price on Amazon, I'd get from Amazon as no problem returning, maybe that's the same in Maplin but rather get from Amazon >
Standard price, These are too small in my opinion I have one.

Another vote for Huion here, got a pen display for a fraction of the cost of a Wacom. Only problem is spare parts, backlight failed after 18 months but managed to repair it myself using generic parts. As for a graphics tablet we bought a Ugee M1000L and it does the job and a good size.

If you add a bag this qualifies for the £5 off £50 (if you have any of those vouchers), students can also get a 5% discount.

Good portable graphics tablet. Been using Wacom for years and, in this market, there still is absolutely no competition (although Apples' pencil for the iPad Pro blows them away).

Is this better than bamboo?

It essentially IS the Bamboo. Wacom used to keep the Intuos name for their Pro line of tablets and the consumer end was usually called Bamboo. Now they've started calling it all Intuos (with the old Intuos rechristened Intuos Pro).
So really this is this years update to the Bamboo line. Still a great graphics tablet.
