For some reason I have a spare lid to this sitting in the attic... I would not rate it as it rusts so badly... not very good for the UK climate. I'd suggest just going for a masonry BBQ, you paint it each year and it lasts and uses coal... so much better than GAS.

This has been debated on many a bargain bbq thread (ie coal vs GAS, not the presence of a spare bbq lid in your loft) and the general consensus from those in the know is that on a GAS bbq you still get the smokey taste as the fat drips onto the flame tamers or lava rock and vaporises back into the food, therefore I have to disagree with your confident assertion that coal is so much better than GAS

I prefer gas. Food tastes exactly the same and it's more convenient as its easier to clean. I find I use it much more than the coal BBQ I had before as I just flick a switch and go.

I have to disagree with your report that gas is better than coal. You must have dead taste buds if your saying lava rock smokes your food same as coal .Yes more effort needed on coal but end results worth it .
Good price if you want a gas one .

Does anyone already have this?
I've read bad reviews about it rusting badly after 1 or two years.
Do you think it's still worth ordering it?

Coal > Gas - You wouldn't catch a texan BBQ joint cooking food on a B&Q gas burner. Gas is for convenience only, REAL BBQ lovers know the difference.

Had this bbq for around 4 years and it's still going strong. Only had to replace the heat dispenser plates. For those wondering it doesn't come with a cover but the ones they sell in B&q for a tenner will last you a year. Great price on this solid bbq.

I have this unit, got it last year...
Took 2 of us to build it, but can honestly say, its a great unit! The twin cook racks is the best bit (enamel), as wire racks suck! Great price for this too, as I got it for £117 in September in there discount.

Having gone instore to have a look, staff member suggested I look on Hot Deals - nowhere to enter code so rang customer service line to be told as the item has already been discounted, a further 10% isn't possible. I did say others had managed to do it ..... seems a bit odd that some can and some cant. No where to put a code?!

I've just done it so it does work - seems some are having problems on a phone so try on a desktop or laptop - see instructions in the previous reply to your post - it all works fine.
Thanks op for the heads up on this ;-)
