I was looking for decent performing SD cards for raspberry pi projects, and came across those.
With reported Read of 95MB/s and a Write of 22MB/s using CrystalDiskMark this card is comparably faster to the standard evo's you can get at the same price.
32G for less than a tenner makes it cheap and easy external storage for your phone.
What is that funny "400x" nr about ?... sorry but there are cheaper and faster cards for less, cold

The '400x' numbers are just a hangover from the optical drive speed rating conventions, where the single speed would have been the speed that a normal audio cd would play at, and optical drives were marketed as being 4x, 8x, 16x upto 52x, with the 'x' meaning 'times', so an 8x speed cd burner would be able to burn a disc in an eighth of the time it would take to play it back (if it were an audio cd).
Off the top of my head I think 'single speed' was about 150KB/s, so 400x would be 400x150KB/s = 60,000 KB/s (or nearly 60MB/s).

The really "funny" thing is that the item code quoted by Amazon of TS32GUSDCU1 and shown on the image of the rear retail packaging seems to refer to a "300x" card according to Transcend in the bottom-right its promo info here.

They have changed the rating 300x to 400x without changing the model number. It is either 100% the same product or an updated one with the same product identification.

True quoted speeds are a marketing confusing mess, but this one comes with a decent benchmark review by Dewan Demmer.Just scroll down to top customer reviews. If anyone knows of a faster and cheaper card based on CM metrics, I would really appreciate a link, since I always need them for pi projects.

Aren't the Kingston 32gb MicroSD Cards on Amazon comparable to this?.
And notably cheaper too?, or .....
A few months back I bought a few of the ones I mentioned above anyway? (& have no qualms with the Kingston ones I bought either!).
But, is the OP's one any better though? (& for more money too?), or ..... thanx, lol. :-)

To be fair I have never tried the Kingston Ones. The card posted should be compared to the RED samsung Evo plus or the Red SanDisk. I will crystal mark it when I get it and I will let you know. The Kingston one with similar advertised speeds is quite more expensive though. I have been using mainly the evo+ after a couple of SanDisk failed, but I am always curious to test different products.

These cards have gone up in price over the past few months. 32gb was regularly available for £5-6 even on amazon. Amazon were doing the Toshiba cards u3 which are faster than this one for £6ish a few weeks ago.
