Wow it's not even been a month since it release and the price has plummeted, although I guess mediocre reviews had something to do with it. Shame, although at least the cover art looks good!

Voted hot for price (& the game seems pretty decent), but a word of warning, if you're prone to motion sickness I really wouldn't advise buying it. The game made me terrible ill, so much so I had to return it (thankfully from Amazon). Such a shame as I love Tri-Ace.

Made you ill? Hm, did the funny **** do what Type-0 port devs did and ramp up the motion blur to 1000% whenever you move the camera?

I think it's the way the camera moves constantly, it has a judder every movement. Got a terrible headache on 3 separate tries. Just really unfortunate as I was really looking forward to the game.

This is basically a massively scaled down version of the Star Ocean games you know and love. The battle system may be fun but consists of mashing one button to win lol.
It's also lacking massively in content and towns, character development is poor too. Also set entirely on one planet too. It's sad that Tri Ace didn't care enough to put some kind of budget into the development of this game, it's basically like an Indie version of Star Ocean.
It's also VERY short too. You can complete the story without much effort and doing some quests etc in 20 hours. I did in slightly less.

That's not on Tri-Ace. Square Enix is the publisher and owner of the IP. They hold the keys. They guard the money. Square Enix charged Tri-Ace to make a SO sequel but on the cheap. Star Ocean simply isn't a big seller anymore. Not to justify the kind of budget a modern version would require. So, it was either no Star Ocean at all or a budget one. SE chose the latter and Tri-Ace did the best they could with the money given to them.
