Home Bargains has a range of solar powered calculators all at 59p. I noticed them instore last week when they were 69p. Desktop model is large 8 digit with box and instructions. Two pocket sized models also available- both solar and one is scientific. Brand name is Busicom. Lots in stock at Southport branch.

If you can type boobs on a phone nobody is impressed. Showing that you can do it on a olde-timee calculatron to a classful of children is an education in the ways of the olden times and I'm sure Ruth Goodman will be doing it on BBC4 very soon in shows like "How We Used to Live in the 70s" which will horrify moderns because people actually had to do stuff for them to be alive and it didn't all come from Tesco.
