Salaam Basmati rice 5kg £2 instore @Asda. Found instore @ Asda Hall Road, Norwich. Not a bad price as works out at 40p per Kilo. Not sure if available Nationwide.

Sorry typo. I was in Asda and I did not see Salaam £2 for 5kg anybody else found it. ..... If thi is nationwide and "Basmati Rice" not "long Grain Rice" , not Broken Basmati RIce it is an extremely good price.
What I found often in the past is that people mistakenly confusing between Basmati and Long Grain Rice. or it is a broken and not whole grain Basmati Rice ....

Decided to buy a 5kg bag of Kohinoor basmati for £5.49 from Asda the other week after using Tilda long grain for £1 a kg.Cooked as usual and found the Tilda a nicer rice and easier to cook.Ah well worth a try ,probably be next year till back with Tilda.
