I'm not clear from the description. Is this game compatible with a last generation PlayStation 3 Rock Band guitar for instance?

It probably will with a Titan Two (when it comes out) , but would still be difficult to use as the button layout is different

This is not strictly true. The Guitar Hero Live guitar does work with Rock Band 4 but you have to use the joypad down movement for the notes instead of the normal paddle. You also have to use the bottom row notes 4 and 5 in place of blue and orange.

They are working on a transfer for old disk content. Also most of the dlc you pre bought will already work.
Latest gh guitars are not compatible but old ps3 Rockband gear is.

This is a good deal. Seems appropriate given the absolutely shocking treatment Harmonix/Sony Europe are giving us at the moment. Nearly 9 months since launch and we still only have a fraction of the legacy exports that Sony America and Microsoft worldwide players do. I suspect it will get cheaper as the problems continue to rumble on.....
