In the market for a new printer at the moment and spotted this. It was last on hukd last year at £10 more, but at £49.99 it's a cracking price for a laser printer with scanner and copier.
Print resolution 1200x600 dpi
Copy resolution 600x600 dpi
Scan resolution 4800x4800 dpi
Up to 23ppm
Ethernet or USB (no Wi-Fi sadly)
Windows only by the looks of it, Mac support limited
Toner cheap at £22.80 for 2600 pages from Doitwiser (http://www.doitwiser.co.uk/ricoh-aficio-sp-204sn-toner-cartridge-black-compatible-uk.html?gclid=CjwKEAjwk6K8BRDM3aCSkdCtzSQSJAA3Vf38n72ZypP1SEUcLfDb4kYidOyI0JmnExJrSFb6Fcq5MxoCOrrw_wcB) or £28.07 from Cartridge Save (http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/toner-cartridges/Ricoh/SP-204SN.html).
Seems like a cracking deal to me. It's big but if you have the space for it...!

If no WIFI, any possibility of using some sort of WIFI enabling dongle?

Pretty sure there is such a thing. In my case I'd just use a Raspberry Pi to manage networking for me.

We have this and its not bad. We got sick of all-in-one printers with inkjets that dry out.
A little noisy when in use but it goes quiet when done.

What's the capacity of the sheet feeder when scanning? Does it scan double sided documents? And does the software allow you to scan to PDF / other formats?
Your idea sound more flexible.
Otherwise, long ethernet cable and plug printer to router.
I googled for such dongles and found printservers, free wireless printer dongle at printerland(no more details), normal wifi dongles cant be used(because assume connecting to computer), bluetooth dongles(ancient comment) but generally impractically expensive.

I have SP204SFN for over a year now. I bought it from amazon for below £30.
I do not know if SP204SFN and SP204SN are the same or different.
If you need scanner in a black and white laser printer, I guess this is an ok option as it is cheap.
The setup especially the scanner was painful.
If you do not need a scanner, please do not go for this one.
The toner comes with the printer only did 400-500 pages. I replaced it with a compatible toner which works with no problem.
The compatible toner claims 2600 pages, but it is not heavier than the original toner. Therefore, I am skeptical about if the compatible toner can print 2600 pages. I guess time will tell if it is lying.
I've got one of these, it's great. You can scan to a USB stick or even a network location. Printing quality is on par with printer only £50 devices.
worth every penny.

I'm struggling to find this info too. It's pretty critical for me.

It doesn't even print double sided ("manual duplex") so the chances of it scanning double sided would be zilch I think, and the ADF looks too slim to accommodate a reversal mechanism.

The compatible toner can be bought from amazon prime for the same price.
