This is a pretty fast GPU, good for the price imo.

im really glad this is getting voted hot man. the new GPUs are overpriced junk in my opinion. nvidia have seen a milk cow and they are milking it, amd are obviously happy with their share of the console market. and i know peeps will get annoyed and be all like "yeah man but the 10 series has half the power consumption, new architecture, etc etc" who cares pc gaming is about big, beasting psu's, gpu's, cpu's, and looking freaking awesome. so heat added bro. ( one too many guiness tonight, so sorry for the essay...essay.):wink: happy friday deal hunters.

Yeah, but if you were the market leader why would you encourage developers to use a-sync. It's a good thing but arguably helps AMD more than themselves, especially with legacy cards. It's like handing your rival the ace of spades.
A few breakout games will eventually force their hand.

i think also with vulcan becoming a more popular api that amd are kinda waiting for the right moment to strike.....or not. i dunno but this is a beasting gpu. hahaha

Vulcan right now is a drop in the ocean that might never take off for Windows although I doubt it will bomb like Mantle its parent.

Nvidia cards will use Vulcan too. Given time, I expect both sides will benefit equally and so nvidia is likely to still be ahead.

They use it already, it's just AMD's hardware seems to benefit from it more, or that NVIDIA hardware was already working at full pelt.

It IS a bit of a beast...but it it worth the extra £50 over the more modern gtx 1060? I would've seriously considered that if it was £250, hopefully it drops more soon for us bargain hunters :sunglasses:

No my cup of tea, but voted hot, as it is cheaper price for this GPU.

I'm sure anyone already looking for this will already know, but just incase no Hdmi 2.0 = 4k 30fps (so any future proofing of Vulkan goes a miss)
Options are buy a dp - hdmi adaptor or play at qhd. If your looking for qhd / 144hz you may be tempted.
My opinion is this is overpriced still. The RX 480 / GTX 1060 manage qhd. The market still needs to be fleshed out with the other models, this will take time.
All cards seems to be gimped in one dorm or another (intentionally)

Couple of points for balance:
-You have 3x DP 1.2, capable of 4K/60hz, any 4K monitor worth it's salt will have a DP.
-If you're connecting to a 4K TV that doesn't feature a DP you can run a DP 1.2 adapter to HDMI 2.0 and achieve 4K/60hz with 4:4:4, adapters are fairly inexpensive (£15~).
I actually have a pre-order for a Sapphire Ntiro+ OC 480, but after seeing the reviews I'm seriously considering a Fury, performance is sky high by comparison.
By the time 4K 60hz becomes a standard, we'll all be on Vega or single slot multi-GPU cards any way.
