These are REALLY nice, popped in a few times just for these even at full price. Well worth giving a go, don't forget to grab some single cream for this too :smiley:

Depends how you do them i guess. I think they are a world away from the jarred sauces. We don't always stick to the rules with stuff like that. I'd say restaurant quality really, pretty impressed with them. 100% convinced that you'd not be disappointed at a quid though. We tried them as a "ahh go on then, it's different" kind of thing. Always pick them up when in Sainsbury's now. Not seen them anywhere else, nor at this price.

cool, good to know. we always have the jars, Uncle Bens seems decent but they never actually taste like they are meant to.

these are brill. miles better than the stuff you get in jars.

These are fantastic curry mixes. For a long time you could only get these packs in India, then they started doing mail order to the UK (minimum spend plus postage - but worth it), now they're in Sainsbury's - they're as close to authentic Indian food as you're going to get from a supermarket!

​No where near. Just like you can't recreate chip shop fish & chips or McDonald's Filet o fish at home.

Have only tried the Tikka Masala but it's delicious. Surprising spicy kick to it. I don't bother adding the cream and it always turns out fine.

These are amazing, especially the Tikka one. I throw it all in with some chicken thighs into the slow cooker for about 8 hours and the taste is unreal!
