Lots on the shelf, £21 for passthrough and non-passthrough they "was" £80 and are currently £45 on amazon. Could be in other stores.
Gigabit port and socket makes these a pretty good deal.

There is a big problem that I (and others) have found with Netgear Powerline products: if you have an audiophile-quality stereo, the noise on the line makes it unusable. In fact, my Powerline made my computer speakers buzz so badly I had to unplug them. Dozens of emails back and forth with the company have offered suggests such as "trying plugging it in somewhere else" and "get a surge protector" - both of which I had already attempted to no avail. Something to be careful of.

@tadzio--2008 UPDATE; I just got the TRENDnet TPL-421E2K (as of 9/15 is ranked #1 by SmallNetBuilder. The TP-LINK TL-PA8030P commented on in my previous post is now ranked #2 and the Netgear Powerline 1200 is #3). Between the new TRENDnet and the TP-LINK, my new TRENDnet produced the least amount of noise. Based on other posts, I didn't even try the Netgear since I'm pretty sure it's even worse. While I could hear the electrical hiss and popping through my speakers on the TP-LINK, the new TRENDnet was barely audible, however, it was obvious when putting on headphones and the static popping was timed perfectly with the blinking of the unit's ethernet LED. Since I do a lot of video editing, my headphones are on a lot and I find the constant static hiss and popping distracting. Listening to music through the headphones is the same. So I plugged in my old Netgear 100 (from 2010) and AV200 (from 2012) and there was no noise coming through the speakers and only a faint background hiss was evident through my headphones (ATH-M50x), which are fairly high-end for editing, and no popping at all. So, yes, I am returning the TRENDnet units. My only thought is that these three top rated AV2-MIMO Gigabit adapters all use the same Qualcomm QCA-7500 chipset. I'm now going to try the #4 ranked AV2-MIMO Gigabit adapter, the D-LINK DHP-701AV because it uses the Broadcom BCM60500 chipset. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for the deal I have just been to my local sainsburys and there was one left on the shelf. there was no label on the shelf or anything with a price but customer services scanned it a £21. it has transformed my downstairs pc connection speed vs wireless ac and 3 brick walls!
