This has no HDMI, otherwise I would not have made the statement.
I also don't see how the audio quality can be better as both would deliver the same digital signal.
Or are you confusing it with the ability for HDMi to pass Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio?

I know some folk get hung up on things needing an optical connection, when the tech was made obsolete when HDMI arrived :wink:

It's a fair point.
Where optical can still be of use is with these Android boxes where HDMI bitstream might not be available.
