Got this the other week for £50. Returned it within an hour of use. Utter crap, extremely slow and unresponsive. Wifi takes the p*ss. Guy at Argos was told by the manager to test it, tried to load a YouTube video for 5 mins wouldn't load a second. Happily refunded and appolgised.

Don't buy instore pay the extra approx 4 quid and benefit from "The Consumer Contracts Regulations" formally distance selling regs, otherwise you cant take it back due to box being opened, or get quibble by Argos manager or staff like post above.

A bad tablet for a good price - does that make a deal?
If you are happy to look around, you should be able to find an onda 891 for not much more - 9", Full HD, 2GB of RAM, and both Android and Windows. Yes, it is Chinese (and probably full of preinstalled AD ware), but you get a lot more tablet for the money.

The new regulations only permit inspection of the goods such as might be reasonably expected in a shop. Taking a product out of the packaging and trying it could quite easily be beyond the scope of the new regulations' protection. This is what we get for too many people taking the p155 with the original distance selling regulations, treating online purchases like they were being made 'on approval'. To be fair, the new laws are much more even handed and will mean less online retailers having to try passing off the droves of returned goods they were getting as new.

I'm even surprised they haven't done this before. It
People are using online shops as a borrow market. They know nothing about the product and they do not care to find out before buying but they are "Consumer Contracts Regulations" gurus . Obviously all retailers are not happy about that. You are more protected when you buy something online than if you go to the dentist. Hopefully the new regulations will teach these cowboy buyers a good lesson
This is a terrible tablet due to its awful processors

I like the tab 2 with 2gb but this one has only one gb. So it will be only a dud

I got this a while ago. Updates to Android 5 and works perfectly fine. Anyone else saying anything different is spouting nonsense. Much better than Amazon Fire Tablet.

I bought this tablet back in December and I would not recommend it for a main tablet. The processor is slow so I knew it would be a bit laggy but what I was not expecting was the woefully awful touch responsiveness of the screen especialy around the lower section. Even as a kids tablet to play games on its a waste of money because of the difficulties with the touch screen.
However, if you need a second device to watch iplayer, Netflix or to put kodi on, this does the job perfectly adequate. So I can recommend it for that. Hope this helps.

Yes its by no means a £200 tablet for under £50. Its fine for light use and movies. Load it up with apps and it will struggle. Think of it as a small light city car - fine for what its intended for however try to cram five of your mates into it and a boot load of gear and you're going to have problems.
I've one for watching stuff when flying and a Samsung TAB 4 for serious stuff.
