Kingston HyperX FURY SSD 480GB SATA3, seems to be a very good offer for a 480GB SSD drive with good reviews and comes with a free 2.5" adaptor.

I don't think that would be possible sadly.

Definitely this.
I don't think that's possible, but you could always move your steam library to this drive? Assuming it isn't bigger than 480GB.

No. Copying data from a HDD (which is slow) to a SSD (which is fast, but will be recieving data slowly from the HDD) and then running the data from the SSD will only make the whole process slower. It would be quicker running it directly from the HDD. Instead, why not buy a suitably sized SSD just for Steam and install and run your games from that.

Amazon Prime members can get the SanDisk Ultra II 480gb for £76.99 today.
very true but i am concered i will lose my save game data and dont want to play my games again.. otherwise happy to buy a 500gb ssd ...
i know some steam stuff will backup to cloud but i couldnt see that with uplay.
can i just simply copy the drive across with file manager and hope for thenbest.
I am concerned a drive copy may mess things up.
