I bought this 2 weeks ago for £119.99, now £69.99 on an Amazon deal - just for today.
Its a really nice set, so gonna send mine back to Amazon and replace with like for like - as they dont appear able to just refund the difference !
Naff system but worth the hassle for £50 back ! Can then use the difference to get the ice bucket stool!

I would've thought that a stool is the last thing you'd want in your ice bucket!

The one at Morrisons is the Rosario set, made by the same company but a different style. It's a good price. Your text here

We bought the one in morrisons at the weekend for £57. Took a bit of putting together and looks horrible when all bits laid on the floor but looks smashing now it's all built and on the patio.

My local Morrison's in Morecambe had a Keter Patio Set that looks similar to this one that was either reduced to £40 or £50 as you entered the store. Might of course be slightly different to the one the op has found and may also be store specific. I'd have paid more attention to the price if I needed one!

I'm glad it's not just me then. I contacted them last week about a lightening deal that was offered at two different prices. The customer rep would not refund the difference which meant I had to order the item for the lower price and return the more expensive item. I avoided postage charge by choosing the option that 'it was not as expected'!
Maybe paying uk tax means they can no longer afford good customer service!

You insist on it being at least 6 inches before you sit on it? haha

16 people? How big's the bloody chair? BTW, nice sly way of trying to get the OP's wife round to 'try out the furniture'.

I bought these last year. At this price it is a good deal. Cushions are comfy enough even though not six inches in depth. Heat from me

It's not the comfort of it that will bother you it will be how badly it fades,I have a Keter sofa and chairs in this colour and in some parts such as the backs of the chairs they are practically White they have faded so much.

Obviously you are going to defend this pile of crap as you are the OP. My Rattan furniture which seats 16 people actually has 150mm cushion depth, or 6 inches in old money which I am sure your wife would be immensely pleased to experience. People who buy such cheap products base their reviews on what they have paid for them, hence they will give 4 stars based on a £43 spend! Get real please.
dazzler303
18 Jul 162#22
You are sooo right, 188 reviews on Amazon averaging 4+stars, does suggest your thorough review must be correct.
I insist on at least 6 inches of padding on any chair before I sit on it. I guess all the reviewers must be midgets as well !

This is absolute tat, since when did anyone last sit comfortably on a 5cm ( 2 inch ) thick cushion?
The dimensions of the chair suggest it is suitable for children of nursery school age, not adults!
Honestly people, spend a bit more and purchase a quality item.
£43.20 on Aug 27, 2015 according to the 3 camels and still overpriced at that!

they wont 'price match', I can send via work for free so no problem returning it.
Crazy not to just refund the difference, but I have learnt different areas of Amazon are ran as different businesses.

They will if you insist, and make the case for doing so, pointing out the absurdity of doing it the other way - which is why I said you might have to ask twice - I've done this numerous times, even since the change of policy - they're not stupid, they just don't want everyone jumping on the smallest of price changes. In this case it's straightforward commonsense to refund the difference.
As for posting for 'free' from work, unless its your company or you have the owners permission then it's, well, you know what it is. And it's a waste of your time!
dazzler303
18 Jul 16#15
Why is it crazy? Because they are as such happy to price match its just a drawn out process. You can take a product back within the 30 day period, but also you can order exactly the same thing again, so they are having to pay a courier company to drop off a bulky package, then the item you send back then can only at best go into warehouse deals so they lose on that front - thats why its crazy. Its bad business.
why is it crazy ? you bought the item when it wasn't on sale. that's like taking everything you buy back as soon it goes onto sale price.

I bought the 4-piece set on Prime Day - bear in mind that the "weave" of the faux-rattan is like a stiff molded plastic. It's ok (and looks fine) but was not what I was expecting. Any hard knocks and it would crack/split fairly easily I reckon. For under £70 this is pretty good value though.

Talk with someone else on the online chat, the staff seem to differ quite a lot in the type of action they can take.

18 Jul 16#2
Contact them and ask for a refund of the difference - you might have to ask twice, but it is in your interest and theirs to handle it that way than for you to got to the hassle of a return and them to go to the hassle of processing it and resending items.

seems they have changed their policy on this. I used to get them to refund the f
difference regularly. but last week I had to have one escalated to a manager just to get £2 back, and they were also reluctant to do it. they both said the policy of price matching their own site no longer applies

They don't do this anymore. You're better off re-buying, then returning the same one (just open it to insert the return slip and send it back). Take the hit on the postage as you should still be making a good saving
