Any idea what I would need to go with this? I take it I would need the speed an cadence sensor? Where is best place to buy that?

any cheap ant+ compatible will do. garmin hrm belt in most shops about £35.

You don't necessarily need either however they tend to be around £30-40 each brought separately.
Speed/cadence sensor is good for monitoring your pedalling rpm. The GPS of the edge will measure your speed if you don't use one though.
Heart rate monitor is either more for advanced training with exercising at varying exertions for the period of training your in or if you have a heart condition it's almost essential.
My own decision was neither are needed

Yeah it can display up to 10 fields at one for speed, distance, elevation etc

I bought this from Blacks last month for the same price (got Quidco cash back too). It DOES come with a HR monitor and cadence/speed sensors! It's a great device, an upgrade on my 510.
