I can't emphasise how much this game stirred up some real flashbacks to my childhood.
The small rural village, the sounds, textures and people.
It is the closest that any game has taken me to the early 80's childhood I experienced and surpasses every game/film in evoking that dreamy nostalgia.
Superb.

Ha, the game is set in Shropshire - it's still like that here.

My Mrs wants to get this game, I've held off getting it and I don't know why!

Personally I was very disappointed with this 'game' but it's worth 6 quid though.

I've yet to purchase this game simply because the last time I read more into it, the running mechanics were a ballache and whilst it's not an issue at the beginning, it soon becomes one later on. Is this still the case?

I found this game a total let down. I was expecting a tense, moody, end-of-the-world vibe, but it's actually more like listening to The Archers Omnibus while binge-watching Escape to the Country.
A classic case of style over substance.
At least the dynamic theme was nice.

its not a "game" but thought this was brilliant. i totally get that its not for everyone. you'll need full immersion for it to work imho ( big tv, proper surround sound, not taking part in conversations with people while playing ).
still listen to the soundtrack, months after finishing the game.

I know this will be asked in every single non-uk PSN deal, but, how do I buy this?

Do some googling mate. Or check some previous deals on this very website.

The app asks for a reason for editing my post and it just plonks it at the end of the text. Thus rendering it unintelligible.
That's what the 'more detail' is about.
Did I copy and paste it?
I wrote it from my experience of the game.
It's beauty is unrivalled on the PS4 as far as I am concerned.

A note of warning about this game. If you don't find the RPG launcher and health stim packs behind the pub very early on, then you end up playing a very bizarre version of it.

I loved this game. I suppose people wouldn't like it if they didn't like walking simulators like "Gone Home" but I loved the details in the environment and the stories that unfold.
As for running mechanics I didn't even know there were any until about half way through the game. My only gripe about the game was when I got too swept up in exploring, going off the beaten path, I would find myself having to trek all the way back through a village to trigger a checkpoint or go in circles because of the linear gameplay that they don't really push on you (but it's there!)

Brought this yesterday and finished last night... it's a great experience game, and if you can look beyond the violence inherent in most video games these days I'd highly recommend it. I guess it's more for fans of 2001 than Transformers
