For info products such as ASUS may be more than twice as expensive, but they also support the 5 GHz band where Edimax only works on the 2.4 GHz band.

Check 'CCL online' return's policy - difficult to set up the Edimax - creates two separate networks and iPhones etc 'holds onto' the weak signal.
I find the best most reliable setup is an 'apple roaming network' but for true reliabily you need cat 6 cable running along the outside wall, Time Capsule and airport express, which is not for everyone.

Excellent to have access point mode for this kinda money as they are the only type that work well, the repeater type are terrible. Heart from me.

Edimax products are very reliable and excellent value. I have an Edimax AC router and the wifi range is excellent. I couldn't get a signal in my garden and it was poor downstairs now a strong signal everywhere. If these are anything like their routers then this sounds a good deal
