Good price! I have two of these. I got both from John Lewis for £99 one last year the other the year before. The battery on the older one only lasts for about 5 mins now which is long enough to clear the ash from around the woodburner daily instead of having to get the big Dyson out.The newer one is in the motor home and gets used infrequently and still goes for the full 10 mins

It probably isn't the battery. Have you always used it to pick up ash? If so give it a very very good clean and dry. You'll probably find it was overheating and shutting off.

Batteries are 20 to 23 quid on ebay.

Yes the motor speeds up as it gets more clogged. I put it through the dishwasher once a week but the battery life is definitely not as long as when it was new.

It's sold as a dusting alternative. If you do a room at a time 15 minutes is fine. If however like me you clean the whole house it's not enough. And it's a pretty expensive bit of kit to suck up the odd cornflake at breakfast

With an 11month old and 4 year old, there are more than a few cornflakes needing sooked up.
The only time ours runs out of charge is when we forget to put it back on it's base between uses.
Although these have been cheaper on various deals, so not voting on this one.
