Seems like a decent deal for a GPS watch on its own. The bundled HR monitor is an extra bonus. I have tested the HR strap and it doesn't have to be used with the GPS watch; it works with RunKeeper too.
If you only want the HR strap, they are selling for £10.
Compatible with Android 4.3 and newer
Compatible with iPhone 4s and newer
Watch:
Up to 16 hours battery using GPS
Stores 50 hours of training data on watch (the data can also be synced to the Crane Connect phone app)
Found in Dunfermline, Fife branch.

If the barcode/product id is 92412, these are managers discounts to get rid of stock from August 2015, I bought the red version a couple of months ago (for 29.99) in the Sheffield Handsworth store.
You will struggle to find one if it is, but if you do its a bargain. The design is extremely cheap.. its a fairly big bit of kit, and the bike mount is terrible, but for the price.. (even the full price which I think was 69.99), its a bargain.
The software is a little bit basic but it syncs to the web OK.. you can also read the raw data off the watch fairly easily so can convert or upload it wherever you like.

If it is that one (ALDI have sold a couple of different ones in the past), then it doesn't have a golf mode.. and it cant follow programmed routes etc.. so probably not much use for golf (although as I dont play golf im not sure if thats what you meant)
You could use it to track the route you take.. in hiking mode or one of the 2 user modes (which basically just let you customise what is displayed on the screen but all record the same data).
What sort of info do you need for golf use and i can see if it does it?

I got the Bluetooth HR monitor band for £14.99 I think. If you have a Android smartphone, then the watch is pointless. Just buy a arm strap for the smartphone or a lanyard case - download Sportstracker or some other running app and it will log your data - heartrate, hills, times, best times, average times etc...

Other than the fact those apps love your battery the watch would save your smartphone!

I don't always want to take my phone exercising with me. Plus, my phone is too large to be comfortably strapped to my arm. Plus, even though it is just a basic display, it is easier to access your duration, distance, calories, HR etc etc by looking at your watch when running, than removing the phone from the strap.

Whilst I am pretty impressed with the value for money you get from the hardware, the Android app is shockingly bad so far.
Yeah its not great.. The app isnt built by ALDI, its built for them by the guys that make the stuff for ALDI.. a company called Latitude out of Hong Kong. (via another company called krippl from germany)
It asks for all that detail because the app supports the bluetooth blood pressure device, 2 smart watches, the bluetooth scales, and connected fitness tracker etc as well as this GPS Watch.. and they use some of that data to plot graphs of progress etc.
I have to say that I did eventually fill it all in.. and it's fairly reliable, seems accurate and works well enough.
You dont actually NEED to use that though if you just want it on a PC.. you can use the Latitude GPS Master software (its designed for the older model), which can download tracks and data fine from this model. all the route or waypoint uploading etc doesnt work.. (as the watch doesnt support it)

I haven't been able to bring myself passed the horrific registration screen.

Software is here: http://www.produktservice.info/29097555/ba.html (not the same model as there is NO software officially for this version)
Or someone wrote an open source replacement here that works on windows and linux (its also designed for the older model but ive tried it and it works fine): https://github.com/mru00/crane_gps_watch/tree/master/release
