No real bargain? How about making a distinction between brands for a start as this brand is as good as it gets when buying from a supermarket. Also you have no idea why people would want a glass jar?... (not that I mentioned that in the OP) its you that mentioned that but yeah glass is nicer than plastic that leaks crap into your food.

Tin foil hat anyone?
If you want to believe that sort of thing and pay more. Lids of the glass jars are coated with the self-same coatings leaking the same substances, just like the interior of cans are also coated by plastics.
Napolina is THE brand as far as tomatoes are concerned, although I don't particularly buy into it.

Tin foil hat is a straw man. Of course plastic leaks into your food. Thats why a coca cola is different out of a plastic bottle rather than a can. Also Napolina is a Liverpool company that likes to pretend its Italian.

That's what people say who are unable to formulate a valid counterpoint.

No it's what people say from desperation when they see others determined to spend on something more expensive they perceive to have some miraculously greater quality when it hasn't. Tomatoes don't grow in the open air in Liverpool. you will find that Napolina don't grow them there, and many such as in the Aldi product are grown... in ITALY, therefore the base of the company is somewhat irrelevant.
You won't be convinced, hence... "whatever."

Good deal...I'll be buying if I can find them. I personally think that Cirio is a much better brand than Napolina.

500g passata cartons are 35p in Aldi. Quality is good.
If it's brand you want, Napolina is the one for tomatoes, and their 500g passata is 50p currently in Tesco
