store specific is normally yellow barcodes, if the normal barcode scans at £10 I'd assume national, stock permitting of course

I'm sure most people are aware that this is the older generation chromecast but I'll point it out anyway :-) Heat added as it's a great deal if not store specific. Very little real difference between the old and new chromecasts if you don't need dual band wifi.

The 5ghz connection is faster than 2.4ghz which this chromecast uses (those being the 2 bands of dual band). However the 2.4ghz has a longer range so if you TV is far from your router you might have to use 2.4ghz anyway. I have 1st and 2nd gen CC and they both do exactly the same thing functionally, I find the 2nd gen to be noticeably faster, but not night and day difference. If I could get this I would over the 2nd gen.
Note you need a dual band router to use 5ghz as well :smiley:
