Low calorie sweetner. It usually sells for £2.00 so it is half-price and is ideal for diabetics and people on a diet. It seems to come on offer quiet regularly so i tend to stock up when it is. sweet !

might seem strange but I find this good for keeping ants at bay, just thought I'd share this unusual extra use.

Urghh.....Candarel Red....that's Aspartame......leaves an awful aftertaste.....
Is the same offer on Candarel Yellow (sucralose)......the nearest thing to sugar ever.....no aftertaste......actually produced from sugar

I find if I eat too much Canderel it gives me stomach ache.
Is the canderel yellow made from sugar then ? can I use that as a diabetic? So you think it is a better tasting product without the after taste then? I've not tried the yellow one and i've never known what the difference is ?? I've heard somebody say they prefer the silver spoon purple jar sweetner tastes better than others. I can't tell the difference me.

Yes Candarel Yellow is made from sugar but the sweetener component is called Sucralose.....(it is modified Sucrose which the body cannot absorb carbs from)....we use it because my wife is diabetic
There are as a rule 3 different colours in sweetener packaging (not just Candarel)
Red - Aspartame
Green - Stevia
Yellow - Sucralose
Sucralose is certainly the nearest in sweetening & no nasty metallic aftertaste you get with Aspartame (there are also other concerns about Aspartame) Many soft drink manufacturers are moving away from Aspartame in favour of Sucralose for their zero calorie drinks

Best value for these sweeteners is Aldi or Lidl
Own brand jars are under 90p each all the time ...... you pay for the Candarel name
