Even on here a wok for £2.83 has to be a bargain, cheapest I have ever seen them for before was around £8 upwards.

As long as there's some weight in it I'll be pleased with it as I have one so light it moves off the hob.

People always use woks wrong which is why the reviews are bad. You should use a high quality oil not a cheap one and put enough in so the food doesnt stick. When the wok is empty wipe clean again with some oil on kitchen roll. You should not actually wash a wok!! Its what the professionals do.

Exactly. Most of these probably aren't seasoning them either. And then just letting them dry on racks after cleaning which is obviously how you make steel rust.
My wok cost about a tenner and doesn't have one speck of rust. If you look after them correctly they could last a lifetime, and only get better as time goes by...

Terrible reviews, but its under £3, so might be useful for someone.

Lots of idiotic reviews that don't realize that proofing of woks takes time and that rust isn't harmful.

How fecking big do you want it to be? My 12" venerable wok - I think probably a Ken Hom original, struggles on 3kW burner. I dream of an afterburner style burner like you see on the travel cooking progs.
