No reason why not. It will work. But there is now a better deal posted on HUKD, for 24Gb Three SIM via Amazon I think.

Yes we have 2 iPhones using these sims. No problems encountered.

OK, I've now bought 2 for my travels this year (France mostly). My assumption is as follows:
- It will work abroad in a MiFi
- It will probably not work in a phone-based hotspot (tethering not allowed): almost certainly won't work in an iPhone and really not clear whether it will work in an Android (anyway, I have iPhone not Android these days)
- So I need to invest £30-40 in a MiFi unit, in which to run the cards
I hope my assumptions are correct...

People - it works in a MiFi, tethering etc.
It is a pure data SIM. It's official name is a Mobile Broadband PAYG SIM.
I just used it all over Norway and the USA, and it worked great (in a MiFi).

I have a 3 mifi, and also a 3 phone, i tried to put my phone sim into the mifi because i have unlimited data on my phone, The device new that the sim was from my phone and it wouldn't work, so i would guess that putting the data sim into your phone work work either

Please excuse my stunning naivety and if this has been answered before (but a search got me nothing). If I was to get this, put it in my iPhone, register it and then use it abroad, would it be fine for Google maps, browsing, whatsapp, etc? It would just be no good for phone and texts I'm guessing (which would be fine by me anyway). You don't have to use it in a tablet or mifi?
TesaoGostoso to Squirrrel
21 Jul 16#10
Yes, you can even using your phone for tethering if needed/supported. Whatsapp however will be linked to the phone number of the sim (although you can't make calls/text it has a number linked to it and you will need to get whatsapp for this number)

I'm confused as well because MyMemory say on the link above
'Use your data abroad at no extra cost.
Being charged to use your data abroad isn't great. With Three you can use it abroad at no extra cost in 18 Feel At Home destinations while on holiday, including USA, Australia, France and Spain. See Three.co.uk/feelathome for details. '

My daughter's phone is dual SIM so she could use one for texts and phone (at a price) and set the other (this) for internet use. Clearly, if it is single SIM then phone calls/texts cannot be received.

Mildly rattles me too, but the company is Hutchison 3G UK Ltd, using the brand of Three. Should ideally refer to them using one of these.
Not a bad deal though to use in my MiFi for occasional use without having to rebuy a new PAYG deal so often. Anyone know if I could I delay activation, as my current data sim will be valid for another couple of months?

Yes, the included 12gb of data will not work as it's not a feel at home country.
Turkey isn't a feel at home country so the included data would not work out there.
Feel at home countries (where this sim will work):
Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Macau, New Zealand, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Spain (inc Balearics and Canaries), Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland and USA.
If the country isn't listed the included data will not work (you would need to top the sim up and pay the appropriate rate for that country).

Used this sim in my LG G3 in europe with no problems. Can confirm you cannot tether, whatsapp worked perfectly. OK for Spain, Italy, France but not Greece if you're using it for a hol.
Its 12GB for 12months. You can use the whole 12Gb in one day if you want, any data not used after 12 months will be lost.

I tethered yesterday and called 3G who confirm it can be done. Why could you not do it?
TesaoGostoso
21 Jul 16#32
That is why I called 3G to confirm; it is a data sim so, by default, it must be used as a portbable wifi/tethering. I used it yesterday on my MiFi and it tethered without any issues.

I know that Germany is not " feel at home country for 3" but is is working with roaming. I am just want to use it with google map, finding location while in Germany.
How soon it will be used up if used in roaming mode all the time in comparison to used it in the UK ??
Paddy_o_furniture to pantaiema

I don't think it would work at all. You'd need £ credit on the sim for it to work in Germany. I get unlimited data in feel at home countries, If I use data (or calls) in a non feel at home country I will be charged (despite having unlimited data) the same will apply to this.

Hot from me. I bought this 2 weeks ago from mymemory for £23.95. This looks the best data sim at the mo as well and as already posted you get free roaming with feel at home abroad. This is a great piece of kit to put it in too if you need wifi on the go home or abroad.
But Three's website says it doesn't work for tethering:
"You can't use your phone as a personal hotspot (tethering) while you're abroad." LINK
