good to hear, my last set of wahl clippers lasted about 5 year before the battery gave up

Would this work as a beard trimmer?

No it doesn't , although if I'm shaving mine off I use it to take the majority off before I have a shave. Although it does not give an even finish on a beard.

I have these clippers, They were really good at first but the blades are blunt after about 6 months.

I've had same experience with remmington ones. What would you recommend?

Ceramic blades are excellent - I have a pair that are 10+ years old and still cut really well. The battery is knackered, so they are no longer any use cordless but still do the job when plugged in.

I recommend the sterling 2. Saw the barber using it and bought one to try. works perfectly for tash beard and burns.

I had a set of these, bought from argos. Lasted just over a year with about one use a month and the on/off switch was a bit temperamental. Then they just stopped working, its not the switch as i tested that with a volt meter so i goes the electro magnet died. Won't be buying again.

I got the corded remmington ceramic ones. And they keep pulling on the hair. Children first day it painful now when I use it to trim their hair.

Having shaved my own hair for the past 20 years I've been through a few Wahl, Remington and Philips clippers. Currently using the Babyliss Super Clipper and the others don't even come close. Not cheap at £60, but worth every single penny. Battery lasts at least 6 weeks on one charge (shaving twice a week) and the blades are scarily sharp.

Have used the same pair of Wahl clippers weekly for the best part of 20 years and only needed to adjust them twice (when I dropped them  ), but whether the quality is the same these days I don't know, but would recommend them as a brand.....

Good deal, my dad has these, they are ok for the money but obviously not at all like proper high end/old Wahl clippers. Though if anyone can get hold of one I absolutely recommend the old model of the Babyliss iStubble, I have had it for 5 years and it has worked flawlessly and I even cut my own hair for the first time with it 2 weeks ago. It didn't snag at all and gave me a perfect cut. The secret is to keep your blades oiled
