Is it this one? " Xiaomi Mi Drone release date and price. We're not sure on a specific release date yet but Xiaomi has confirmed that there will be two models of the Mi Drone. One which is just 1080p for 2,499 Yen ($380/£259) while the 4K model is 2,999 Yen ($456/£310)"

Nope and if history has shown anything with concept quads if the Xiaomi is ever released it will be more expensive than you show there but even based on those prices the UP-Air is cheaper.

I do like the pricing but there's soooo much to go wrong with these types of things that some decent support is vital. I'd rather pay extra and know I've a chance of resurrecting it if there's a problem rather than flying a couple of times and chucking it away.

There's 2 schools of thought really, the view you state and the ah well won't be the end of the world if I stuff it into a tree... Pay 1200 quid for a Yuneec and you're unlikely to feel that way....or consider this entry level before you splash out on something more expensive.

I would cry if I stuffed this into a tree and my wife would belt me round the back of the head.

I built my own from scratch for around this price. Relatively easy to do, very satisfying and a great way to get your head around how they work and how you would repair it when (not if!) you crash it. The best part was when I crashed it for the first time, assessed the damage and realised replacement parts were going to cost all of £3. You're more likely to break a cheap plastic part than the electronics inside and despite the different brands there are lots of common parts that are easy to find (mine uses the same frame as a Phantom).

I'd rather wait for xiaomi to release, can't afford dji Phantom 3 unless price goes down to £250-300

What spec is there that one needs to look out for?
How does this Upair compare to the DJI Phantom 3?
