As far as I know (not very versed in this) but I thought clubcard boost meant that your vouchers were worth double (or 4x) not that your points actually doubled with a purchase.
I could be completely wrong, don't hurt me

I was also trying to boost a £2.50 voucher but the minimum you can boost is £5.
