Buy 1 day travel insurance from ComparetheMarket, for about £2-2.50, you get 2 for 1 cinema tickets once a week for an entire year
This is a great one off deal, but doing this gives you half price tickets every week, for a year, for 2 quid. Bargain.

Not sure of the logic of people who are saying Meerkat movies is better , although that's a good deal on a Tuesday and Wednesday, I think this is far better.
Tickets at my local Cineworld for an evening showing on a weeknight are about £10 each, so even with Meerkat it would cost me £10. With this deal it costs me the amount of the cleaning products ( £3 +) which I still get to use, and then I get two free cinema tickets to use anytime any day.

Well done to everyone taking advantage of this deal, i totally forgot and then only remembered on the very last day so only managed to do it once.
I've just got my tickets today and theres nothing really in the T&C to say they cant be used with other promotions.
Has anyone used them as part of a 2 for 1? I wanted to check to see if they could be used on the CEA cards (People with disabilies can take 1 person free)

If you are not intending to use them within the next week then I would suggest everyone to chill till their 14 days are over at least so as to not burden them with having to reply to everyone's emails.

People were getting them in a few hours when the instore offer first started and they obviously had few claims to process. My first couple of claims I got back in less than 24 hours but since then I have been waiting up to 14 days. I don't think you'll find anyone has recieved the codes in a few hours for some time now.

24 Jul 16#185
Because I have very little patience anyway, and it seems some folk have got codes within a couple of hours while others have had to wait the full 2 weeks. I'm annoyed I seem to be heading towards the latter group.

Up to 14 days wait , some of mine were processed within 2 - 3 days , others 9 - 10 days. Still waiting on my last 4 pairs but it has only been 4 days wait for these so far , confident they will all arrive though .
Did 3 last week Thursday and yet to get anything - the wait continues.

dona3853
7 Jul 16#121
Think I've been thrown by this before on Cineworld's website. Without looking I think when you have codes for individual tickets you enter these right at the start of the booking process where you select the number of tickets. So instead of choosing what tickets you want there is a box at the top where you enter each code. You just keep entering codes until you've got the seats you want. You then follow the normal process of choosing your seats etc. and of course it will add the booking fee which you will have to pay. It sounds like you are trying to add the codes at the end where you have the option of using gift cards/ vouchers. These require a pin number.
Nigha
6 Jul 16#120
I've been sent the code via email but there's only a e-code not any pin no. When I'm trying to book online it's asking for pin no too. Someone please HELP ME. Thanks

Cineworld booking fees are a rip off, but at least you get to choose your seats.
The booking fee can be avoided by presenting you codes to the cashier in the cinema rather than booking online , but personally I'd begrudgingly pay the booking fee to save time and guarantee my seats where I want them

29 Jun 16#74
Just filled out a claim and it never asked me to upload a receipt either the first time. I tried again as I have bought multiples of these on different receipts but using the same clubcard and a different email address. I was then prompted to upload a receipt which was weird , I proceeded to upload my receipt , then it wouldn't go through as I had exceeded the daily limit of claims , wtf ?
The terms clearly state one claim per customer per email address per day ...... Great (I thought) However , when filling in a second claim with different email address it is blocked stating only one claim per day is allowed !!! Weird ...... They're terms are conflicting with the way the website is setup to refuse claims with the same clubcard regardless of the different email address.
It'll go in tomorrow I guess !

not sure what all the arguments were about surely it depends on your useage?
I have been to the cinema once in about the last 10 years, to see Star Wars just before Christmas,
I am going again to see Star Trek next month.
The Meerkat offer would cost me more than this as I won't use it more than once.
If I was going even a few times a year I would take the meerkat offer, but would still do this one simply because this costs £3 odd for 2 tickets, 2 tickets on the 2 for 1 deal will cost almost 3 times as much.
Qasim7
29 Jun 161#71
Do you have to buy 3 different products from the range or can it be 3 of identical ones? Its stated that the 3 cheapest are the following: Finish Dishwasher Refresh Lemon £1.25 - Dettol Moisture Handwash 250Ml £1.40 - Dettol Surface Cleaner A/Bact 500Ml £1.50 but I have seen Airwick Air Freshners for £1.20 on the page. I have never heard of a movie being only one hour long. Most of them are an hour and a half. And some people may not even have that amount of time (plus travelling could add up massively).
Also, the latest you can use these tickets are by 25th November. Just stock up on the items you'd probably already buy and save up to £13. Also, you can do this once a day, every day. So technically, this is a very cost efficient way of getting cinema tickets.
Alternatively, you can just buy odeon tickets from eBay for £4 each which is available whenever (as long as the sellers are still up and running).
DatAlbino
20 Jun 16#57
Well then you need a babysitter cos damn, if you can't find one 2 hour slot, on one tuesday or wednesday, in 52 weeks of a year, thats worrying.
Exactly! You can do both, there has been 3 pages of debate and petty little comments when both deals are available! Its stupid!
Get this now, sign up to meerkat movies now too for 2 quid, and you can get a 2 for 1 code weekly AND your free tickets!
I never once suggested it was either/or, yet it somehow sparked a torrent of comments that either made no sense or were petty and personal :/
Denziloshamen
20 Jun 16#56
Working full time during the week, children, no baby sitters etc means we've never been able to go to the cinema mid week since we were carefree students (20 years ago). So it's not completely unusual not to be able to take advantage of the 2 for 1. However, £2 for a years worth of 2 for 1 is pretty good.
The Tesco deal will always be better as it's two tickets for £3 as opposed to two tickets for £10/£12, but this Tesco deal isn't going to last long. They're both great offers and no reason why anyone couldn't take advantage of both. Anyone arguing that point is just being daft!!

DatAlbino
20 Jun 161#51
I really don't care about what happens to the 2 quid when I can save up to £400 a year on weekly cinema visits, good point tho
It was a figure of speech, ok 2 hours, you watch a film, 10 mins there 10 mins back, if you can't find 2 hours on 1 weekday night at some point in an entire year, then you got issues xD
That is literally so stupid, there was a huge deal that got hundreds of degrees here that did exactly that altho many people seem to have forgotten it so easily. It does qualify, as I used my last code last Tuesday, and have used it 4 times so far!
This is a better SHORT TERM deal, until they run outta stock or they put all their prices back up! Meerkat movies with half price cinema tickets, for an entire year, for 2 quid, therefore it is a LONG TERM deal
I don't mean to be rude but honestly, I'm getting tired of repeating myself

It won't be £3 minimum spend by the time this offer starts in store though. States from 28th June and all the offers for wipes and antibacterial spray at £1 end on the same day. They might have more offers, but I'd expect to be paying full price during the promotion. Also states that purchase made between 20th June and 28th June do not count for this promotion, so nobody rush out this week hoping to make a claim.
Denziloshamen

So I can claim this as many times as I want during the offer? As long as each claim is on a different receipt and a different day?
Dblue75
20 Jun 161#45
Actually YOU are wrong. Purchasing travel insurance as I did for 1 day...DOES qualify you for 2 for 1 cinema tickets for 12 months. I have done so last night and have 12 months until 20th June 2017, have my first code and receive 1 code per week for the remainder of the time.
Splenge
20 Jun 162#44
Not to add fuel to the fire but is this not a backwards way to think about it? It costs £3 for two tickets here and it costs £8 for two tickets through Meerkat (it's sometimes more like £12 in London). To be fair there's a £4 charge for orders under £40 which would bring it to £7 (still £1 cheaper and can go any time of the week).
I've got the Meerkat deal and think everyone should get that but while this deal lasts, as long as you're happy going to a Cineworld, this deal is better.
Obviously feel free to correct me if I've got something wrong!

It costs the price of one ticket at a cinema (depends where you go) and the 2nd one is free, so if your ticket is 8 quid, it costs 8 quid for 2 tickets, thats a £8-10 saving per week, so if you used it every week
52x8 =£416
You could save as much as 400 quid just by spending £2 on travel insurance and using your weekly code.

Meerkat movies is 2 tickets for £10 or so restricted to a couple of nights a week PLUS the cost of buying unnecessary insurance
This deal is 2 tickets for £3 PLUS you get cleaning products that you can probably make use of. You can claim multiple times and the tickets are valid until November so it's not like you can only use this method to gain 2 tickets
I'll make the comparison easy by asking just one question - the next time you go the cinema to use a 2 for 1 meerkat code how much will your two tickets cost you?

Not sure of the logic of people who are saying Meerkat movies is better , although that's a good deal on a Tuesday and Wednesday, I think this is far better.
Tickets at my local Cineworld for an evening showing on a weeknight are about £10 each, so even with Meerkat it would cost me £10. With this deal it costs me the amount of the cleaning products ( £3 +) which I still get to use, and then I get two free cinema tickets to use anytime any day.

If I want 6 tickets can I buy 9 products in one transaction or do I need 3 transactions?
If ti is three transactions do I need to make them on three different days or can they be on the same day but just apply for the tickets over 3 days?
What are the best products? Do Tesco still do a brand match that might work in conjunction with this offer if other shops have them cheaper?
How quickly did people get their tickets
What will happen if I try to return the 3 products I bought and get a refund for them? Is there a chance that the codes will be cancelled? What if I return them after the 19th of July that the promotion will have ended?
The booking fee can be avoided by presenting you codes to the cashier in the cinema rather than booking online , but personally I'd begrudgingly pay the booking fee to save time and guarantee my seats where I want them

And if anyone does want a Meerkat movie code just PM me - I hardly ever use it. Is there a thread somewhere where we can offer it?
“In-store Customers” button"
Thanks for confirming my point (even though you seem to have missed it yourself LOL)
The Tesco deal will always be better as it's two tickets for £3 as opposed to two tickets for £10/£12, but this Tesco deal isn't going to last long. They're both great offers and no reason why anyone couldn't take advantage of both. Anyone arguing that point is just being daft!!
This is for online purchase only
It was a figure of speech, ok 2 hours, you watch a film, 10 mins there 10 mins back, if you can't find 2 hours on 1 weekday night at some point in an entire year, then you got issues xD
Also, you could have saved yourself £2 quid - get one of the insurances you actually need changed on there, makes it a freebie benefit not a cheap workaround.
I've got the Meerkat deal and think everyone should get that but while this deal lasts, as long as you're happy going to a Cineworld, this deal is better.
Obviously feel free to correct me if I've got something wrong!
Actually I have an unlimited card so looking to see if the girlfriend can use them both on different occasions.
Extract from T&C - Currently the following products are not qualifying purchases made through comparethemarket.com:
i Travel insurance
52x8 =£416
You could save as much as 400 quid just by spending £2 on travel insurance and using your weekly code.
Was that really that hard to do yourself? ^^ as I have said several times, great one off deal, and here's another one for the future. Now all of ya, stop getting petty.
So instore purchases don't count?
2 Free Cinema Tickets - WYB 3 Cleaning Products at Tesco.com (Min £4.20 spend)
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/2-free-cinema-tickets-wyb-3-cleaning-products-tesco-com-min-4-20-spend-2450154?page=6
But I'm GLAD its back mind?, as is definitely worth a second opportunity to brainstorm this again still ..... lol. :-)
Good find op, don't mean to moan out your thread but I'm saddened by the NI discrimination in so many deals
Will check again but when I went on compare sight it had options and under travel it said rewards and toy not invluded
Tickets at my local Cineworld for an evening showing on a weeknight are about £10 each, so even with Meerkat it would cost me £10. With this deal it costs me the amount of the cleaning products ( £3 +) which I still get to use, and then I get two free cinema tickets to use anytime any day.
And going to the cinema takes slightly longer than an hour!
Scorchio if you can...
In the terms it says 20-28 June online not included in offer and In store starts on 29 June
The half price wipes offer finishes on 28 june
Of course some might be suspicious of the op posting so close after the last post reached a month old! (Not me though because I'm nice :stuck_out_tongue: )
Even if you used it once over the whole year you would still save money so it remains a fantastic deal, considering you could technically use it and save 52 weeks worth of tickets!
This is a great one off deal, but doing this gives you half price tickets every week, for a year, for 2 quid. Bargain.
