It's holiday time and whether you're travelling to Europe or USA, travel plug adaptors are useful and cheap from Poundland! Twin packs are available for just £1 but be careful to get the one that you need - the Basingstoke Chineham store had twin european packs, twin USA packs and double packs containing one of each - I suppose these are non-identical twins! Possibly easier and more flexible than taking one adaptor and a uk multi-socket lead - certainly safer than overloading one socket! Happy holidays!

I bought these last year when we went to Mexico and they didn't fit the sockets!! They kept falling out. I definitely wouldn't buy them again. Luckily we had a couple of proper ones we had bought as well so just used these ones

I love how they changed it so now you have to buy 1 Euro and 1 US in the pack - guaranteeing that you have to buy a couple of packs and get a couple of adaptors you do not immediately need.

In store they have twin packs where both are Euro or both are USA as well as the 'mixed double'.

Problem with most of the cheap ones, is the front is just clipped on, so when you pull the plug out you just have the front piece and all the bare wires are exposed, then you have the problem of getting the rest of the plug out, especially as most continental plugs do not have an on/off switch on the wall. When I lived in Spain the local cheap shops used to sell them. So often you had to turn off the power completly to get them out.
It is worth looking for ones that have the screw through to fasten front and back together.
Especially if you have children, the cheap ones can be lethal.

These ones have two screws securing the front to the back - I've just checked!

Bought 2 packs of these for New York, they done what's expected of them. Spot on. Even the £1 luggage scale was ballpark.

Used mine for a recent trip to Disneyland and had no problems at all. Our Poundland ones fitted unlike my parents' one which was twice the price

I wonder if this is a 'deal'? Poundland has been selling them for several years now.

Its geography and has got nothing to do with politics or Brexit.

I could amend it to 'travelling to countries where the european plug types C, E or F are standard' but, quite frankly, I can't be ars*d! My deal had nothing to do with politics or Brexit and was a light-hearted comment to help others save a quid or two. Why don't you post a few more deals youself rather than criticise others?
