You're paying £26 per tb thats a hell of a bargain in my opinion, but just to let you know i have on and the gold one looks more like silver, and it still has no scratches.

Genuine question - what are you guys using portable HDs for these days? I still have a huge collection of 1080p mkvs, but I thought fewer and fewer people were still building media collections like this with the advents of Spotify, Apple Music, Netflix, Amazon video, etc...

lol I keep all my pictures and videos i take with my phone on it, childhood videos, movies, games, software, the only reason i got one is becuase i ran out of space on my 2tb. Especially now that 4k recording is more common since it takes alot of space a 3tb is perfect.

aside from storing movies, series, games.. backup for personal files... building media collection on cloud require fast internet and internet in my home country is expensive af(hint# the PM allegied taking the most ridiculious amount of bribe and still standing)
for me internet in UK is fairly cheap and reasonable and reliable.. how I envy you guys :disappointed:

Manual backup before installing an automated solution. I couldn't rely on myself doing it when I had to plug it in to AC power at the wall, portables make manual backups happen.
Backing up 20GB of files several times or system images soon makes a couple of handy 1TB externals worth having.
And I don't 100% trust the automated backups I have in place.

Wow speed is amazing, was expecting this to get around 100mbps read/write after reading reviews. Lol just got mine today and speeds are getting better than my seagate 2tb backup plus.
