i was going to buy this one but thought this was a better deal with free speed camera and european maps
£89 on Amazon with EU map package. Loving the half price deal option on extras too, thanks OP. Heat added for this one.

The timing of this deal is absolutely superb, im driving to France in August and for the last couple of weeks have been reading up on sat navs and choosing which one to get. I wanted this as although not the latest model, which is the start/go 50, is actually supposed to be much better as the new ones have flaws.
Im watching a few on ebay but thought id end up forking out £89 for a new one anyway so this deal coming up now is perfect!
Thanks op!

Good price. I don't think I can live without live traffic updates though. That was the one thing I missed on my old Tom Tom.
They also have the Go 50 for £99 which seems like a good deal.

Yes - I've just reserved one at my local shop. Seems a good price to me. Think they have the pricing wrong currently as the UK/ROI model is more expensive than the full Europe model at the minute....

I'll never buy a sat nav again, especially a Tom Tom with limited maps!!! Google maps works wonders for me on my iPhone.

Thinking about replacing my Dad's TomTom Go 920, he's started to notice how slow it is, mind it is almost 10 years old. Contemplating this.

Google maps navigation on android or iOS is so much better than any sat nav for me. Constantly updating features, crazy accurate traffic to find you the quickest route as you're driving. Does use a bit of data but well worth it.

Co-pilot live app for iPhone is superb and doesn't use any of your data.

This is basic, but great SatNav. I have the same one for nearly 5 years and have bought map updates twice already (about £40 each time). Google maps is great for navigation in the city, but for the long journeys it is always better to have a dedicated device.

Like others have said. Google maps for me. If you're traveling and worried about data usage abroad, download an offline map for that area before you travel.
Google maps will store it for 30 days to be used offline.

+1 for Google maps.
I work as a delivery driver and my company provides me with a TomTom and the pda also has navigation (co pilot) as part of the software but I only use Google maps on my phone.
As stated earlier the traffic is so accurate it's almost spooky.
Brilliant clear maps without any clutter.
No need to touch the phone because I just use voice control with Google which is also very accurate.
It doesn't use much data either. I use about 20mb data a day on maps and that's navigating from 7am until around 6pm.

Why anyone would bother with a dedicated sat navigation in 2016 is beyond me.
It won't work or will put features like traffic and map updates behind a pay wall in as little as a year (or if you need to go abroad), they're generally slow and underpowered, battery life always seems poor and the screen quality is terrible.
And who doesn't have a smartphone that's got a high quality 5inch screen, quad core cpu, and a choice of many free sat nav apps like Google maps, or offline such as here maps? Not many people in 2016 I'd hope!

I've got a Nokia 1020 and the maps/sat nav on that phone is ****. Its constantly directing me on to minor roads and country lanes when A roads are much more direct and easier (and yes I have checked my settings). I am taking the family on a tour of Spain and southern France in the summer and there is no way I am putting my faith in Nokia maps in a foreign land.

You'd still be better off buying one of the Chinese quad core android phones with a 5 inch screen. They can do so much more and can be had for about the same amount. There's several free sat nav apps on Android for free that I'd trust more than Tom Tom.
