Titan SDS Plus drill comes with 5 drill bits from 6mm to 14mm also has 2 chisels flat and pointed. The motor is very powerful at 1500W pretty much would get through any material. Fabulous price for the drill. Comes with 9 accessories and a hard case
This is about 5 times the weight so drilling small holes to hang pictures and the like isn't really its thing unless you have shoulder muscles like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Conversely, for drilling big holes in walls, digging down for fence posts, breaking up larger concrete lumps, drilling through old farmhouse walls a foot thick, its superb. Depends on what you want to use it for.
Good deal I got one last time it was down to this price

This drill is brilliant. Could not have dug the holes for new fence posts without it. I bought the long drills from Lidl to loosen the earth and stones and the chisel bit provided for breaking the concrete. Post hole digger to remove the rubbish without bending over. Saved a fortune on commercial fence erectors. So many uses for this beast. Ordinary drill cannot compete with hard tasks which this is designed for. Very heavy and not for hanging pictures etc.

Great bit of kit for the price - it has come in very useful over the last 9 months I've had it, and has taken a bit of abuse. Got one at the recommendation of my Dad and would happily recommend to others!

this compared to a hammer drill?

The Titan has been invaluable especially as a core drill for bathroom extracts etc, but I still use a regular hammer drill for every day jobs as the Titan is a heavy beast.

As del00 above, used this to dig out holes for new fence posts. Dealt with stones, flint, concrete no problem. Also used it when installing a new kitchen when my hammer drill refused to break through whatever was behind the plasterboard. Knife through butter - nearly took the wall down.Great bit of kit for heavy duty tasks.

Will an impact drill get through concrete lintels above windows? Or do I need an SDS drill like this one?

Hammer drills struggle with drilling into lintels, sds is far better for that type of job. Piece of cake for an Sds.

I've just purchased and played/worked with mine purchased form Newtownabbey branch. Oh yes ! It comes with a chuck adapter as well. I knew it was 5Kg however when I opened the box at home we were surprised by the sheer size of it. Needs lithium grease added recommended each 5 hours of use. Also purchased Dewalt drill set. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/dewalt-dewalt-drill-accessory-roll-mat-set-98-pieces-24-99-screwfix-2462876

Just don't do what my old man did and leave the chuck in when in pure hammer mode. It'll shake itself apart!

This also has rotor stop which is better than some sds drills which doesn't have this feature ideal for chipping out chunks on concrete etc.
Bought this about 2 weeks ago and I cannot fault it.
Bargain of a price and a very powerful tool.
Love that it comes with a chuck adapter and a few drill bits.
Don't hesitate or contemplate just do it!

I have had this a good few years and bought it around this price, the drill itself is a beast.... I'll be honest I've absolutely battered this drill and it still comes back for more.

bought this yesterday after the heads up here. so far so good, chisel function on pure hammer mode is incredibly useful, I was making a concrete channel wider, to run some conduit through, ate through it with ease!
I'll be using it to put in some fence posts this weekend, I think I'll be just fine should I encounter any stone

Looked at this last night and its a heavy drill. Most likely a 2 hander, unless you are built like Arnie.

Is this on promotion or is that the regular price? Just asking as I'm thinking of eventually getting one.

It's in offer at the moment. Wouldn't think it will be on for too long. I would grab it whilst it's in stock.

I have one of these and it is absolutely invaluable. It is very heavy duty and will chip or drill through concrete with ease. I bought it a couple of months ago for £50 odd and I've used it several times since. The closest you'll get to a pneumatic drill for anywhere near this price.

This the 5kg or 3kg version? I've got the 5kg which is heavy but a very good drill for the money and I'd definitely be interested in the 3kg one as well.
Don't buy the impact driver set though. They're crap.
