Pre-order for what is sure to be a highly anticipated game. Also think that it will become quite rare in years to come - much like what happened with Twilight Princess on Gamecube.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Product Description
Choose Platform: NintendoWiiU
Set out for adventure once again in this unique new game in the beloved The Legend of Zelda franchise, built exclusively for the Wii U platform.
The newest game in The Legend of Zelda franchise, scheduled for 2015, introduces the first truly open world in a game from the series. Players can roam Hyrule Field or set off on a trek to distant mountains if they prefer. Players can get to any area they can see from virtually any direction. That's one of the ways the game breaks with franchise norms and introduces new ways to play.

Thanks for the option, but i'm not pre-ordering a Wii U game for £40 if it isn't a collectors edition of some sort.
Plus it's not even out until 2017.

Aye, not a very good deal, I'm sure it will be available for less closer to launch.
If I was a cynic, I'd say Prankster is just tying to drum up some traffic for his website.

What a ridiculous "deal". The game is at least 9 months away from release. And how is this a deal? This will easily be available around launch and at a much better price.

This is freezing, I posted a deal £8 of its average preorder price and get downvoted into oblivion but because it's Zelda this guy gets a pass ? Absolute b*****ks

There will be two versions, with the NX version being "different".

Also says "scheduled for 2015"! Think the text is a bit out of date. I'll be waiting for the "better" NX version, but you're right - this might become a bit of a collector's item in years to come.

If the NX as a console looks meh then I'll certainly get the Wii U version. Not buying a new console just to play a game a bit better.

surely it will be better than Wii U? no? I mean can anything be worse?
PS : I own a Wii U and think it's good.only 10 years late.

Looking to buy the Wii U version - partly because it will indeed become a collector's item in future, but also because I have no intention of buying the NX. If only because I've been burned one too many times with Nintendo machines over the last decade.
They said the games will be identical and NX will only have better visuals. No point in picking up both of them. NX will likely have far better performance as well.

Have it on pre-order at Amazon since January and the price has been decreased to £38.99 but still not that great and I'm not sure if I'll even get the Wii U version 'cause the NX port will probably be much better, graphically that is.
This is more like a heads up, I'd say.

I always thought £40 was kind of like an RRP for many top Wii u games. So for me the bargain will be whether the top Nintendo ones can be found anywhere for cheaper

Wii U games normally go for £30-35 but some exceptions for £40 which would be Pokkén and this. Pokkén has been holding its price rather really well but can't say it's that much fun of a game as I'd hope due to the lack of content.

If the NX has a solid launch library then I don't mind buying Nintendo's new console although I'm a bit gutted with the Wii U and said to myself I wouldn't do it. Decisions, decisions.

Better wait for a special edition with amiibo from Nintendo store.

I just hope the Special Edition is something more than just including an amiibo.

They've already said the nx version will be the same as the Wiiu version so wouldn't hold out for any change and I have a feeling the Wiiu version be delayed like they did to the GameCube version did buy 2 weeks after nx

I understand, but personally I kind of hoped they dropped Wii U sooner in favor of NX. Sure, a lot of fans would be disappointed, but at the same time I will be way more disappointed if the NX also fails because it released too late and Nintendo starts collapsing as a result. The quality of their titles has also suffered as a result as they had to produce lower budget filler stuff while working on NX. I will buy NX whenever Zelda launches myself, and I hope it does well.

I worry for it. I can see it being overshadowed by The PS4 Neo and The Xbox Scorpio next year.

I'm kind of glad they're not got the iterative route TBH. One system, one lifecycle. I'm not sure how I feel about the other two going the "mobile phone" release method.

i dont think this will skyrocket like the GC version of Twilight Princess. the Wii was cheap and everyone bought one on release, so the GC version was not getting any love
I don't see millions of people going out to buy an NX on launch day like the Wii. i think most people will be getting this game for Wii U

The advantage TPGC over TPWii was that it featured the original unmirrored version whereas the Wii version was mirrored but in this case.. Wii U sales are really weak and so if new customers were to purchase this it'd be for the NX.

There's no way to have a surefire success at the moment with a new console. Between the quite successful PS4 and XBone and their new iterations, Nintendo will need to do something different to find their own pocket of space in there. If anyone can do it, it's Nintendo. Their advantage is that Scorpio and Neo will be very expensive, so if they create a cheaper system that combines their handheld prowess with decent horsepower and a good price it could do very well. Not long left until September, now.

Not a deal in the slightest. Only reason this is getting heat is because it's zelda. That said, this will be a day one purchase for me most definitely. Been waiting for this game since skyward sword.

And they need to update their online infrastructure because tying digital downloads and ID to just the console is a joke. Friend codes should die and basic functions like party chat are needed, however Nintendo seem so worried about child security that they probably won't do it.

Nintendo need to go all in with the NX, because the Wii U sales have been awful! Bundle the NX with this Zelda game, make it cheaper than the competition, and get back in the game please Nintendo! Just under 13m consoles sold for the Wii U is so poor. PS4 has won this gen, selling more than Wii U and Xbox One combined.

Similar price as Shopto, who have a far superior delivery service. They always seem to dispatch games a couple of days prior to release, whereas gameseek are less reliable.

Oh wow what a unique opportunity to get a real collectors item in a few years time. To go with the countless amiibos which will become super rare and sper expensive in a few years time. Not.

the reason TP was so "rare" and highly sought after was due to it being the only game you could use to hack the Wii. that's why it still fetches a high price on eBay.
