Most things nowadays are bluetooth 4, my brother had these and they were rather choppy at times, kept cutting out, never found out the issue
I prefer to stick to wired headphones, more reliable, cheap in relation to RRP tho, so still hot

Bluetooth version is unlikely to be the issue imo. I'd imagine it's more to do with interference or a weak transmitter.
I've had a pair of Sony Bluetooth 2.1 headphones for the past 7 years and they haven't skipped a beat.

how do you suggest solving it please? its terrible, sometimes not even worth listening to
i had problems with my gaming bluetooth headset myself too, from now on my headphones will always be wired
