PlayStation VR is being released on 13th October for £349 UK RRP. But if you import from Amazon Spain where it's currently €397 using an Amazon gift card, you can get it for £307 to the UK including shipping. You can still order with a credit card now, but you'll pay at the exchange rate price on the release date (which may be very different).
This way, you've guaranteed the price with Amazon and there'll be no import charges as long we're still part of the European Union.
Steps to buy are as follows:
1) Go to amazon.es (or follow the link, which will show you the item itself)
2) Buy an electronic gift card to the value of €400 (you might even be able to get the exact value if you really want to save the last few pennies).
3) Add PSVR to your basket
4) Use the voucher code at checkout

Or vote to leave and make more money in your backpocket to afford things.

that was a light hearted joke in my comment. I run my own service company and leaving would result in less money in my pocket and downsize my work force.

Is there any need to buy the gift card, rather than just buying it directly at checkout?

If you pre-order at the checkout, money doesn't get charged until dispatch. If that happens you're at the mercy of a market that may fluctuate fairly heavily. Depending on tomorrow's result things could get *very* hairy in that regard :-)

It will take a few years of negotiation to fully exit so will not effect ordering this.
So tempted after E3 to get this but i really need to test try it out first somewhere.

Amazon's page says that it's released on 13th October and my estimated delivery would be between 19th and 21st October. Hopefully, that'll be because it's linked to their stock allocation rather than just were all orders to be fulfilled.

It's as good as I hoped, I've tried it. It's all down to how pukey the games are now.
