Just because it's Lidl it doesn't make it bad.

... and what one doesn't? Milk clogs things up like glue.

If anyone's into making really smooth, quick coffee, you should check out AeroPress, the rave on Reddit.com/r/coffee, or a cold-brew setup such as my friend recently got and is loving — great for making iced coffee in these summer months!

The first one i bought from Lidl failed after a few uses took it back for a replacement, they were sold out so refunded.
Second one i have is same machine but from Aldi 8 months use makes good coffee and quickly froths milk very pleased so far.
The new versions cheaper and they moved the water tank which is better than the old one,not sure if they moved the power button to the front its on the back on the old version.

Doesn't look very tall; what size cups fit under it please?

It's an espresso machine, so espresso cups.
If you want a mug of coffee create an Americano by making a single or double espresso, then decant it into a mug and top up with hot water.

I had to buy coffee cups especially, most tea mugs wont fit.

if you take out the draining tray you will get more space to use a wide cappuccino cup saving the hassle of using shot glasses etc..looks classy for the price

I use a basket from an old drip brew coffee machine as a pourover but you can buy pourover cones for a fiver. The coffee tastes just the same as from my aeropress but takes a bit longer to fill a cup. The major difference in flavour comes from the bean choice, amount of grind and water temperature.
The pressure from a machine definitely helps extract more flavour. The grinds in used tassimo discs have no smell at all yet pourover/aeropress leftovers still have plenty left in them. Not to say one is better or worse but it changes the taste.
I also emptied a brand new t-disc into a pourover and it lost a lot of the intensity vs the machine.

The froth nozzle on these type of contraptions are quite annoying and have to be cleaned after each and every use

I've had one for about 12 months from lidl and its been fantastic! I take the plastic recess and metal cover off so you can get a larger cup underneath the dispenser. yes you do need to clean the milk frother regularly but that's normal practice!! Now waiting for a coffee grinder to come up again as the old one broke.

Looks cool. Very tempted, especially with the 3 year warranty.Heat added.
The kettle and toaster look good value too at 14.99 each. Again with that all-important 3 year warranty.
