I was of the opinion that sportshoes.com was about the cheapest there was, unless you import. Where do you shop normally as I go through a lot of running shoes, mostly ASICS?

Im looking at starting jogging, but will be doing mainly road/flat field. Will these be any good to get me going, as don't want to spend a load in case I cant get into it.

These are more aimed at trail runners - hence the big grips underneath. If you use them on the road then they will wear down quickly and won't provide much support/padding for plodding on the roads. If you are just starting out then buy yourself a cheaper pair of road shoes from a decent brand (Brooks are my choice but Asics, New Balance etc are also great)

If you're starting running I'd also recommend getting your gait analysed or you could end up with an injury if you're not a neutral runner

Could you use these for walking (doing Yorkshire Three Peaks in September) or should I go for something more like a hiking boot? Am new to these sorts of things!

Currently using my bargain Brooks Cascadia 10s from TK Maxx but if I was in the market for new trails I would seriously consider these!
