These are a bit crap btw, IR is hit and miss, short range. If you want cheap fun then a cheerson cx-10 can be had for a tenner or so.

For no frills fun, the FY326 Q7 quadcopter (Syma x5c clone) can be had for <£11 (AU$20.79) from China on eBay.com

Yes this is a nice cheap little item as a gift for kids likely to break it but IR for a remote control for anything which is likely to get more than 10 feet or so from the controller is a waste of time ......better to pay a few £ more & get one with actual radio control
