A next-gen shooter from the creators of Borderlands, a tremendous band of badass heroes fight to protect the universe's very last star from a mysterious evil. To defend it, you'll need to utilize every type of character and weapon you've ever imagined -- from samurai vampires to cyborg hawkmen to mini-gun wielding man-mountains.
Build and grow your personal team of heroes whilst you slash and parry, run and gun, cast and dash, or simply obliterate foes. Choose your hero and fight alone or co-operatively alongside friends in story missions, or battle against them in fast-paced competitive multiplayer matches.

Don't feel bad for them. They literally just recently stealth added microtransactions in a update after saying they wouldn't.

Battleborn is the best game you could buy at £14.95.
Forget what it gets compared to as most of the people who compare it to the others haven't played it. The game is superb, fun, and an easy time sink. ESPECIALLY on consoles. A ton of the hate they get is from the PC fanbase as it isn't very good on that and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone due to time waits.
But for £14.95, that's a ton of bang for your buck on console.

Yeah, Nintendo European Special Edition have the USK logo but other platforms also have USK though not as often as Nintendo ones in the wild.

Not necessarily foreign, in the case of Nintendo that is just how they release their European special editions.

Before buying, I would recommend watching a few youtube reviews and gameplay videos , the game looks pretty dated and a bit clunky , I keep trying to want to buy the game , but the more I see the more I understand why it has flopped in such spectacular fashion , If the game had been released 2 years ago , it would of looked great ....

This was always going to be a risk given the HUGE following for Borderlands, I bet that Gearbox expected a bit more support on Battleborn from their loyal fanbase but it seems the game just isn't up to scratch. Personally I prefer Paragon and that's still an Alpha product but also quite right that going head-to-head against Overwatch was a significant FUBAR.
Hopefully Gearbox can shove this one to the back of the queue now and focus on what everyone really wants from Gearbox - Borderlands 3.

Just doing a little bit of reading up , 30FPS is a bit of a shame , I already own Overwatch and 60fps makes the game and play , smooooooth , not going to go for the PC version though , as the player base is very low ......Kinda was going to hit the button....but 30FPS was the killer blow....shame !

Battleborn has a single player mode, Overwatch is online only from what I read.

Wow. These two games are losing their value rather quite quickly, especially Battleborn. Today's £14.95 and next week? £9.99 then after? £6.99 or £4.99. lol
2K Games screwed it up big time releasing within the same time as Overwatch was released.

17 Jun 16#29
Didnt know any of that, i hate it when companies are shady. Especially when its comes to art styles ect. An artist can spend literally years of their life finding a unique art style to call their own, and someone can steal that in relative hours.

It's a pity. I never played a game of this type before but both the campaign and competitive multiplayer were satisfying, and there's a verrry healthy number of interesting characters to play as. It's a pretty different game to Overwatch as well.

I played Battleborn for a fair bit; played through it a number of times. Best way to describe it is it's a 5 man first-person instance simulator. Personally quite enjoyed it; ended up part exing it in CEX for £26.
Just checked, it's worth £21 part ex in CEX at the moment (or £15 cash back), might be worth buying eleventy and part exing them all :stuck_out_tongue:

It's also getting microtransactions which is where the developers will make their money. I only played the beta and wasn't too impressed. Overwatch has completely demolished this game and would suggest paying the extra for that.

Although I wouldn't feel too sorry for all of them to be honest, it is Gearbox after all.
They've done a fair few bad things as a company like the debacle with the Borderlands artstyle (look up "Codehunters" on YouTube) "taking inspiration" from the person they talked to about doing work with it and then not using the person but keeping the artstyle which they only apologised for once it was revealed by the guy or lying to the publisher about Aliens where they pulled people off it to work on something else yet were still collecting the milestone cheques.
Sure, it's sad for people working on this that weren't connected in any way with the previous things but as a company it's hard to feel sorry for them after everything so far.

It's a great game with loads of content but it has a depth that does not appeal it seems. Matches last on average about 30 mins. The storyline co-op has missions similar to destiny.
