This is a fantastic remote. If like me you have a non smart tv which you use with a PS3 almost just for TV and Mucic apps then this is the one. It will take over your TV functions and also certain AVs.
I bought it full price a few months ago so heat added.

There were 5 of them on the shelf in my store in Bangor, Northern Ireland.
PS- I only took one

Cheers op, will check out my local, but I'm fairly confident they won't have any, never seem to have many bargains :disappointed: Great for those who can find them!

I stand corrected. It does work with other TVs. Sadly not mine, and that's what I remembered, and I don't have a Sony Amp.
I replaced all my remotes with a Logitech remote that has a hub. Pricey, but it well worth it, if you have lots of devices/consoles to control.

Isn't the real question: 'Can you play Dark Souls with it?.
Looks like the AV amp functionality only works for Sony amps though.

I still keep my PS3 hooked up for Blu-ray watching, and this remote is the reason

You may not need one. The PS4 supports Simplink - I found I can control most functions with my LG TV remote.

I disagree - if my planet entered the same phrase into google search, they would have go a straight and distilled answer - "No".
No need to call anybody names, but if you insist it's the OP and yourself for being so thick.

Really need one. Mine just stopped working and have tried everything to get it going. No luck! Changed batteries but just won't pair up.

I'm sure I heard the ps3 remote did work with ps4 before, but I've just seen they released an actual ps4 remote late last year

Do you know if this is the newer one, with extra buttons and an infrared output to control TVs etc., or the older one?

As far as I can see, it's the newer one. There's two green buttons at the top right.
Btw, controlling of other Amps and TVs, is only for Sony Amps and TVs.

It doesn't, you need the https://www.amazon.co.uk/Official-Universal-Media-Remote-PlayStation%C2%AE4/dp/B00ZJRHSZO
Don't bother with the tiny (Just a few functions) remotes, they are an utter waste of time!
