Good if you are doing any plaster skim over boards. Also very good for repairing those annoying nail pops in plasterboard. Knife off the loose bits, apply a postage stamp size piece of tape, and then smooth filler over the top. Works every time.

How is Uxbridge these days, I grew up there but now live in France.

Phoned mate about this who's a Plasterer he said he pays £2.20 trade per roll so if I was going would I get him 10, sure enough the store at Coulby Newham Middlesbrough were selling these at £1 a roll.

They also had a few other things reduced

2Kg of nails various lengths £1 a tub (down from £4.99)
Swarfega original reduced from £4 down to £2
1L Wood glue £2 ( down from £4)

Uxbridge has changed a lot over the last 20 years or so. Now it has 2x Shopping centres and they are building well over 1000 houses on the old RAF base. Still a lovely town, it has diversified over that time as well and with the average 3 bed going for close to £500k or more, it's becoming a place for commuting young professionals with young families. Plus it does cheap scrim tape :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the update. I think I would be sad if I returned in that case. I also used to be a cadet at 1083 squadron so to see that gone is a shame but its called progress I guess.

Plasterer' s scrim? ............ sounds like a disease.

Called in to the B&M at Coulby Newham again today bought another 5, there were 7 left at the back of the shelf.
