Just need some advice.
I recently moved into a new office. And currently have no Internet access.
I'm willing to use my phone as a mobile hotspot for now.
However I want to buy a wifi printer.
My question is. If I use my phones hotpot to connect to the printer can I still send files from my phone to the printer to print off?
I'm looking at getting a wifi printer ASAP but just wanted to make sure.

Exactly. I did that when I bought my Samsung 620ND a few years ago. Got a 2nd one on ebay with a damaged toner cart (other 3 were ok) for £35.

Well ebuyer has delivered this already on free delivery, that was quick! Looks like a lot of printer for the money this. Big heavy, quality looking unit. Will hook it up a bit later and see how it compares to our old Xerox Phaser 6125.

Difference is that the printer has more RAM, and PCL / Postscript emulation. I.e the printer does the processing rather than the driver on the computer.

The EU has nothing to do with it, nor are there any '6 year EU rules'. Six years in England and Wales is the limitation period for a simple contract, an example of which would be a contract of sale (see the Limitation Act 1980).

I haven't bought a new OKI in years but if they are anything like previous ones the problem is the toner is separate from all other commodities. So you will need to purchase a fuser separately and the transfer belt plus the heat transfer plate.

Yeh the starter toners are always nearly empty, hopefully the third party ones will be similar to the standard oki ones so 1500 and 2200, if that is the case then its all good.

After reading reviews on Amazon it looks like the toners that come with the printer will do 75-350 prints depending on how much colour you're printing.

Ordered one anyway, found Oki quotes 1500 pages for the colour and 2200 pages for the black toners. So presuming the 3rd party toners do similar then that'll do nicely!

I don't know if it's the case for this printer, but many modern ones have a firmware which checks the carts are genuine, and keeps track of if you've ever used a non-genuine cart. It's quite often what the chips on the carts are for.

Then if something goes wrong OKI will may refuse to honour the warranty on the basis of compatible toners. This is the excuse they used 15 years ago! I never purchased on OKI again. In those days EU rules were of not available.
Good old Brother repaired my printer after 5 years as I pointed out a very low page count and 6 year EU rules (and they listened).
