I bought one of these a while ago and it was just like a brand new controller, but without the original packaging. Official Microsoft product, compatible with Xbox 360 and Windows PCs.

Is it really the official Microsoft ones? The photo even though it's for illustration purposes only, it looks more like the cheap knock offs, and if a seller was pushing the real thing, I would have thought they'd use a picture of a real one. I say this, because the silver button doesn't have the green X across it. Where as the real ones do. Even in rubbish photos, you can always see the green X. Plus, it doesn't have a break away cable.

They've used the part number and EAN for the official controller in the blurb - I think eBay would help you out if it turns up as a fake.

I can assure you it's an official Microsoft one - I bought one myself. I agree the picture is misleading, though - it looks like they've copied it from another seller.

Fair enough. I just wanted to be sure. Thank you.

Here's a picture of the one I received - says "Microsoft Corporation" on the back and the cable comes with a 360 to USB adapter attached:

A wired controller? Slightly antiquated!

Nah not really, even as a second controller its a bargain. To this day I still forget to charge it for PC.
