Seems a a great price for this, cheaper than most grey imports. Comes with Nikon UK 2 Year Warranty.

Plenty of others cheaper by £20 and fulfilled by Amazon...

They might be fulfilled by amazon, but only ones sold by amazon are guaranteed not to be greys.

Grey Imports as are most Marketplace sellers - No UK warranty or support from Manufacturer. Check the seller info. If you are not worried about support or warranty then order the Grey Import.

Again there's no guarantee it's not a grey import.

i think at this low price point grey doesnt matter so much?
or maybe it matters more for the expensive ones as you save more?

£107.49 now showing for prime - was looking for a long lens last year and can confirm the previous price, (ended up buying the previous model) will be seriously miffed if it goes below 100 notes!

Just picked up the same lens for £92.00 10 from e-infinity Camera days ago, nifty little lens, perfect for street / travel photography. Cold for me as this one also comes with a 1 year warranty.
Blurb : If the product is found faulty beyond the 14 days period, you will be covered by our 1 year warranty, please contact us at [email protected] for a return authorization and postage address to return the item for service. Repair normally will take about a few weeks depends on the problem suffered, we will be keeping you informed during the process.
This will work with the D3200 right?
Been meaning to get a decent zoom lens for a while now.

Yup, 'AF-S DX' are the codes you need to look out for to ensure you get a compatible autofocus lens. AF-S means inbuilt motor and DX is for APS-C sized sensors.

e-finity are not uk resellers so if you did have a problem it may cost you the difference to post it to them!
cant find details on their site - they will give you an address when you ask
1 year is still half of nikons 2 years also
a good price if you know what you are getting... though calling it a street photography lens is a bit much :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you sure you got lens for close ups? It's a telephoto lens which is best for shooting from afar..? As far as I'm aware of course. No expert. Just enthusiast.

Bought this last week for £26 on Amazon Warehouse. That's HOT

Bought this (and posted it previously) at around the £94 mark via Amazon. Ended up finding a 55-300mm shortly afterwards for about £130 (can't remember specific amount) and so sent this back and punted for the bigger one instead.
As a side note, I don't think grey imports are an issue either. My camera and possibly my 300mm lens are both imports, never had issues with either.
Anyone know where I can get a cheap prime lens. 50mm 1.8?

I assume he means the zoom bringing objects closer.

It works great for both in all honesty. I am as you mentioned also no expert but learning with each set of photo's I take in RAW and editing.
tbf you are still going to be about a metre away so for 'macro' that is a distance :stuck_out_tongue:

I still don't understand Macro or 1:1 !
brilly
13 Jun 16#23
basically if your sensor is 2cm across and you photograph something which is 2cm and it fills the whole screen then its 'true macro' and 1:1
if it is only filling half the screen and you edit the photo by chopping off the empty edges then its a pretend 1:1 so not 'true macro' but its good enough for most of us

Oh righty. Heres me thinking it had something to camera settings to run a macro.... Cheers for explaining in simple terms

I'm guessing if it will fit a D3200, it will also fit a D5100 ?

Yes no problems with D5100, fits any Nikon DX body.

It's the one sold by Amazon (bottom right, says Sold by: Amazon). Looks like it has gone up to £177.65 now though. May pay to wait a few days as Amazon prices do fluctuate somewhat.

Have a look at these
I was under the impression for a few weeks that the 55-200 was only for distance shots until I came across the above.
I rarely use the 18-55 now
