I think the seller is trying to cover up the fact this is the outdated Surface Pro 3 keyboard, that was replaced by the Surface Pro 4 keyboard which has much better keys and a bigger trackpad.
Yes, its compatible with the Surface Pro 4. But calling it the Surface Pro 3+4 keyboard is wrong, it's the Surface Pro 3 keyboard.

Great price, only problem is US format so dollar sign instead of pound, can't remember what else is different?

an AltGr key is added to the right of the space bar
the # symbol is replaced by the £ symbol and a 102nd key is added next to the Enter key to accommodate the displaced #
@ and ” are swapped
the ~ is moved to the # key, and is replaced by a ¬ symbol on the backquote (`) key
the \ key is moved to the left of the Z key
the Enter key spans two rows, and is narrower to accommodate the # key
on laptop computers, the | and \ key is often placed next to the space bar
Those are all the differences
Extremely cosmetic if you ask me ^^

Not if you're used to a British keyboard layout or use the £ regularly.

There's some info here https://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-gb/support/hardware-and-drivers/which-surface-keyboard-do-i-have I think the limitations are physical size and is some cases electronic - In some cases I've heard you can use a keyboard that is the wrong size as long it doesn't bug you - eg if you don't transport the keyboard around folded up. Only worth considering that option if you come across a really cheap one - you occasionally come across remainders of the old versions.

Doesn't hold a candle to the learn to type with Pokemon keyboard. £5 a bargain to be sure.

This is the older style Surface Pro 3 cover, which is compatible with the SP4, but a far inferior design as the keys are all in a block, as opposed to being individual.
The SP3/4 covers are all compatible but it's a new connection so not backwards compatible with older models.

Its compatible with both, and advertised on the listing as a 3/4 keyboard, so that people with either device know they can buy it.
I understand there is an upgraded version for the 4, but this is still a 2 device keyboard, if you get an Android charger with your S5, it is not an S5 charger, it is an android charger as it works on all android devices. Same here

+1 to that comment. The reviews of the newer Surface Pro 4 keyboard are much better, so this is arguably a deal at this price. I got a surface pro 3 keyboard (UK layout) in the Curry's sale for £20 a few months back, and it's fine enough, but I probably wouldn't recommend a US one at this price (if you'd normally use UK layout). The new SP4 keyboard works with the SP3 also and seems to be the recommended choice if you don't already have a keyboard.
