They are an idiotic company.
They recently opened a new store in Kidderminster and emblazoned it with signs saying "At least 50% off".
I went in, had a look around, didn't see anything I liked but quickly concluded that if their RRP's were anything to go by, I wouldn't bother going in again - and I haven't.

Mountain Equipment is much higher quality

Hmmm...very wary about Mountain Warehouse as the quality is generally so poor. Ok so its cheap, but what good is a travel bag if the strap detaches or seams start opening half way through your trip. Treating us punters like idiots with 'Huge reductions on RRP' is patronising - which doesn't help my outlook on this lot

Travel bags aren't something you really want to scrimp and save on. When a zip pops open or a panel seam rips open it's such a pain in the ****. I was wary about splashing out on more expensive bags like Osprey and Berghaus but you realise they're worth it when you're still using them in perfect condition years down the line.
