To be fair, he's got the wrong type of grip for the mouse. But as we all know, one size does not fit all. I've seen more positive reviews of the mouse than I have bad.
What's the battery like? I have a G700 I got in another lightning deal and you have to change the battery every 5 minutes or keep it plugged in

I ordered mine from one of the other Amazon euro sites, .es I think it was, and it made it slightly cheaper back then. It came with two duracell AA's and hasn't needed a change of battery since I got it. I think I've had it now for almost a year if not more. There's two modes which are controlled by the switch at the top. Without reading too much into the modes, I keep mine in the "power save" mode which briefly turns the LED on top of the mouse green. Switch it the other way and it goes into some sort of performance mode, changing the LED briefly to blue.
I actually have an XBOX360 pad plugged into my laptop for gaming so don't regularly use this for games, but I do use the mouse frequently and it's a fantastic mouse. The only gripe I have is that the USB plug for the mouse is for the mouse only, so you can't connect other logitech devices like you would with some keyboard dongles.

The battery life between the two is not even comparable, the G700s might give you a day or even two if you're really lucky. I've had a pair of Eneloop Pros in a G602 for 3.5-4 months and just today I got the 20% left message, and that will give at least 2-4 weeks before it starts to flash that it's critically low.
I actually think this is a more comfortable mouse and also a smoother mouse to use which is probably due to it being optical and not laser. The only things missing really are the sideways and infinite scroll functions of the G700s.

Oh, and I just bought a second for my home office PC. The cheap mouse I got for it is terrible and this mouse hasn't ever been cheaper. Also, since the adapter alone is £20, if I ever lose one I've got another handy.

Was last around this price 4 months ago where it was about £32-£34,
